Getting started

Tables and searchable dropdowns

Search, sort, choose columns, adjust row density, export matching records and use searchable choices.

Large record lists use search, filters and pagination to keep daily work manageable. Controls vary by screen: a wallet statement has server-side filters, while a small table may offer controls for the records already loaded.

Table workspace#

Where the shared toolbar appears:

  • Search finds matching loaded rows; choose a column to narrow the search.
  • Select a column heading to sort it; select again to reverse the direction.
  • Columns shows or hides columns without changing the stored records.
  • Compact rows changes density when you need to scan many entries.
  • Use the numbered pages, previous/next controls and rows per page to move through matches.
  • Export offers CSV, JSON and a print layout. Choose your browser's Save as PDF destination to save the printout.

A no-results state means no loaded records match that search. Clear it or adjust the screen's filters. Hiding a column is a display preference, not a permission control.

Loaded records versus the full statement#

Shared toolbar exports cover matching records loaded into that table, not unseen database pages. On Finance › Wallet, use the page's date/category filters and dedicated export actions for the full filtered statement. Filament resource tables keep their own server-side search, filters and pagination.

Printed and exported content keeps the screen's privacy restrictions. Masked supporter values never turn into full contact details in a download.

Searchable dropdowns#

Large supported single-choice dropdowns open a searchable panel. Type part of an audience, campaign or other option's label, then select it. Use arrow keys to move, Enter to choose and Escape to close. The selected value remains visible when the panel closes. Disabled options remain unavailable.

Search only filters choices available to your account; it cannot reveal another organisation's records. On a phone the panel fits the viewport and scrolls independently. Small dropdowns can remain native controls, and Filament fields keep their own search behaviour.

Accessibility and appearance#

Use Tab to reach controls and follow the visible focus outline. Controls follow light/dark mode, support a narrow phone screen and respect reduced-motion preferences. A wide data table can scroll horizontally without forcing the whole page wider.
