Election day

Results and verification

How two matching entries and a separate sign-off make a station result trustworthy.

Open Election day › Results. Sauti only treats a station result as established when it is independently confirmed.

How a result is verified#

  1. Two matching entries. Two different verified agents at the same station submit figures that match.
  2. A separate sign-off. A returning-officer sign-off is recorded by someone who is not one of those two agents.

Mismatched entries stay in review until they are resolved. SMS results remain unverified until the form or photo is submitted.

The results page#

  • Signed-off stations, assigned stations and reporting coverage as a percentage.
  • Station entries with figures, totals, status and evidence.
  • Original photos are private: only assigned agents and campaign managers can open them, after personal-data review.

Correcting a signed result#

Signed figures cannot be edited silently. Reopen the station with a reason, correct it, and sign off again. Every step is audited.

Reading the numbers responsibly#

Results in Sauti are your campaign's own tallies from your agents. They are not official results. Use them to track progress and to spot irregularities to raise through the proper channels.
