Phone bank

Guided calling shifts where callers never see the number they are connected to.

The phone bank lets volunteers call supporters without ever seeing their numbers. Open Field › Phone bank.

How a call works#

The protected call bridge rings the caller's phone first, then connects the supporter. Neither side sees the other's number. Calls are not recorded.

Setting up a call list#

  1. Write a script with clear, branching questions.
  2. Choose a saved audience whose members have voice consent.
  3. Assign callers. Each caller must be an active volunteer linked to a tenant account and to their own consented voice contact.

During a shift#

Callers work an agent queue of masked, scoped contacts, follow the script, record answers and outcomes, and schedule callbacks where asked.

Supervising#

The supervisor view shows live, aggregate activity only: today's bridge attempts, callers live and ready, attempts and connected calls per caller.

Good practice#

  • Call within reasonable hours. Quiet hours apply to campaign calls too.
  • Stop immediately if someone asks not to be called, and record it so they are suppressed.
  • Never note numbers or personal details in free-text answers.
