Walk lists

Turn an audience or ward into routes, assign them and record visit outcomes.

Walk lists organise door-to-door canvassing. Open Field › Walk lists.

Creating a walk list#

  1. Choose a source: a saved audience, or a mapped ward.
  2. Sauti divides the stops into routes.
  3. Assign each route to a volunteer or a team.

Only an area label and a masked contact appear for each stop. Exact home addresses are never stored in a route.

Working a route#

Volunteers open their route in the field app, visit each stop and record the outcome, for example spoke to the person, not home, moved or not interested. The app works offline and syncs later.

Following progress#

The route command view shows progress per route and per volunteer or team (stops done out of total). Visit outcomes are auditable and feed the person's activity timeline, field activity and leaderboards.

Tips#

  • Keep routes small enough to finish in one session.
  • Brief volunteers to be polite, identify themselves and respect people who do not want to talk.
  • Never collect phone numbers on paper. Use the app's sign-up flow instead.
