Verify a sending domain, publish SPF, DKIM and DMARC, and send email through the same controls.
Open Messaging › Email to set up email sending. Email uses the same audiences, approvals, wallet, suppression and send lifecycle as every other channel.
Verifying your sending domain#
- Under Sending identities, add your domain (for example
example.org), a sender name and a mailbox (the part before the @). - Add the verification TXT record shown on the page at
_sauti.on your domain. - Publish the records your email provider needs:
| Record | What to publish |
|---|---|
| SPF | One TXT record on the domain, v=spf1 include:<your provider> ~all |
| DKIM | Your provider's public key as TXT at <selector>._domainkey.<domain> |
| DMARC | TXT at _dmarc.<domain>, for example v=DMARC1; p=none |
- Choose Re-check DNS. The page shows the status of each record. The Sauti team confirms the TXT record before the identity becomes available.
DNS changes can take a few hours to appear.
Sending email#
Choose the email channel in the composer and pick your verified address. Templates support the same merge fields and fallbacks. Attachments are scanned and sent as real attachments.
Opt-outs are honoured immediately, as for SMS, and the mandatory sender footer is added to every email.
